Creating a website is exhilarating, fun and scary all at the same time. It’s one thing to pick out the template, format and what plugins to add, but what about the logo? More and more designers are making it reachable for bloggers to get a custom logo for a reasonable price without feeling as if they over paid for something they don’t like. A few years ago, I found a website that actually lets you submit a logo request where designers actually compete for your business.
48hourslogo.com is a place where small business owners can have their company logos created in just 48 hours. It takes only 3 simple steps:
- Fill out a logo questionnaire and set a prize amount for your logo project - The minimum prize for your logo is only $89; you can even start your project with initial payment of just $29, and pay the remaining balance after you have seen the logo concepts created by our designers.
- Designers submit their logo ideas while you provide feedbacks -Once your project is live, designers will submit their logo design concepts. You can rank each concept and provide feedback for improvements.
- Select a winner and download your logo files -After your project ends, you have up to 7 days to select a winning logo design. The designer will be notified, and you will receive the final design in a logo package. After you receive your logo, they get paid.
- Make sure you are very descriptive with your wants and needs for your logo. You can include pictures and links to other sites with logo designs that you do like. They will give you some pictures of types of brand icons and typical logos if you want to go that route. Just be descriptive and include everything..they can’t read minds.
- Give feedback when a designer creates an image for you immediately so you’re not stuck with designs you don’t like.
- If you have a current website, make sure you include your link to your website so they can get a fill for the exact style you are after.
- They encourage buyers to offer more money to get more designers competing for your website, but I would stick to the minimum criteria of $89 and you get the same amount of designers competing regardless. Save your money if your don’t have a high budget.
- Once you have picked the winning design, ask the designer to create different formats for your logo: PNG, PDF, JPEG, EPS etc.
- Once the contest is over, complete the remaining deposit to receive your logo. Confirm that you have the formats as you requested and confirm that you received your logo before the designer can get paid.
- Have you ever gotten a logo that you didn’t like and felt stuck with it?
- What sites have you used that I haven’t mentioned?

Hi Sonia, This is a really cool concept! I love the idea of logo designers competing for my business. The price is very reasonable too.
In December I had a logo designed by a Fiverr designer and he did a great job, giving me four different designs to choose from. But if that hadn’t worked out so well, I definitely would have done this. Logos are very important and it’s very cool when you get your own!
Thanks for sharing this, Sonia!

Hey Carolyn, I have used this service for years and they have always produced a ton of great work. They have some talented designers on their vying for your business and why not? It’s a cool service and who wouldn’t want someone fighting to get your business? The best part is you get to see a wide variety of logos to choose from. Thanks Carolyn for visiting as always!

Hey Sonia,
I’ve never had a logo done for my blog, just an entire header created.
I also like the concept of seeing the different design concepts they come up with first and then I have the opportunity of choosing which one suits me best.
I think this service is very reasonably priced too because these people are putting in their ideas so that you’ll pick them so that’s time consuming in itself.
Great little site and I’ll keep that in mind for when someone may ask me about logos.
Appreciate you sharing this.

Hey Adrienne! It’s a cool site that I found years ago and it’s so fun to use. The designers are pretty nice that I have worked with and I really love the concept behind it. I think it works great for newbies wanting a professional logo and can’t afford anything over $100. It’s a great option and alternative. Thank you for your visit and it’s almost the weekend! Yeah!

I’ve used Logonerds.com for logos before and they are great, inexpensive (like $47), have about a 4 day turnaround, and give you about 6 concepts. They’ve been pretty good about revisions and stuff too.
I’ll have to check out the resource you’ve recommended as well. Thanks!

Hey Kesha, I never heard of Logonerds, but I will check them out for now. Thanks for the tip. Logos aren’t cheap these days and it’s nice having alternatives if you don’t want to pay high prices from designers.

Hi Sonia,
Gosh I so love this! I didn’t know about it either
Now that I am done with my writing/marketing blog design I will be starting my personal development blog and since I am using my own picture and name for my writing/marketing blog using a logo for my personal development blog could be an idea.
thanks for sharing this. Really cool

This service is so cool because you get to have people fighting to get your business. What I like best is the ideas that they come up with and options to see what you can pick. When a designer creates a logo you might only be allowed so many revisions and this option allows you to “see” other options without having to ask. Let me know if you use them and if you get a new logo.

Hi Sonia,
This is the first time I’ve heard of the service. It looks very interesting. I have used something similar for my two logos. I’ve been hosting contests on digital point discussion forums, and it has worked great. Next time I’ll test 48 hours logo.
Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hi Sonia,
).
That is a great service. Thanks for letting us know about it.
I think logo’s at such prices make it really affordable for bloggers and we need to get a logo as soon as possible.
I have still not reached the stage that I want someone else to design logo for me. Not that I cannot afford it but that I love to do it on my own. The current logo on my site is designed by me . ( not very great but serves the purpose
Thanks again for finding the service and writing about it. I am sure going to use it in future.

Jeremy Ruggles
Hi Sonia,
Every serious blogger needs to have a custom logo of some kind. If you are not careful, you can end up with a poor looking logo or an expensive price tag that you can’t afford.
Thanks for the tips to make this process affordable.
Take care,
~Jeremy

Welcome Jeremy! I know what you mean. A logo really sets the tone for your blog as you build your brand. The best site I see like that is the TheSitsgirls.com. They have it down pack and use their logo for everything it’s worth. Thanks for your comment and taking the time to visit.

Concerned Designer
You people should all know that 48hourslogo.com is one of the worst contest websites out there. A lot of designs that win there are stolen works from other companies. They “protect” their top designers by allowing them to do such after numerous violation reports are filed.
I would stay far far away from this company.

Wow I didn’t know that. I have had a great experience with the company. I am sorry there were issues with your experience.

Sonia this looks like less money than most people charge. A new blogger does not have enough money to waste on useless ideas. Thanks for your article.
